The Process

Ever since I started meditating in my early 20s, images have ‘come through’ or that’s what it feels like as ‘I rationally’ do not create them.

For them to come through I must be in a slightly altered state, a meditative state where the rational mind sits back and the subconscious side can show itself. The images often come with a title, theme, guidance, or answer to prayer.

I aim to hand draw the image (oil pastel on paper) while I am still in the meditative state, giving the image the feeling, the vibe or the energetics as closely as possible to what comes through.

I also can digitize the image for more creative uses, although the medium and colours are different.
