One of the many plaques on the exterior of the Scottish Parliment Building, Edinburgh.

I’m reflecting on my trip and realsing, as in many parts of life, often the most impactful parts aren’t the external bits, but the inner experiences (our own ‘weird songs in the dark’)

I have seen many impressive things in cities and meet some lovely people but probably the most impactful parts for me were the internal experiences/revelations/shifts.

Isn’t this often the case in Life?

I remember once talking to an old driver of a bus I was traveling on, who in his late 70s had been most impacted by an inner experince he had in his 20s….a vision of sorts which he said, was only growing richer and more true for him as he aged.

With the world often focused mainly on the external, can we still cultivate a real relationship with our inner worlds, a trust, a partnership, a real honouring and deepening of our precious inner sanctuary?

I trust that we can.
